Nice golf course wide open for the amateurs and challenging for the better then average player. Lots of grass and bunkers but there is hardly any shade so definitely a hot course in the summer.

Excellent is all I want to say, but I will expand. Every year my club "The Mens 10-50 Club of Tucson" have a Fathers Day Extravaganza". Which consist of 5 rounds in 3 days. The Duke was first on the list. The staff was hands down all about the event and players. Accommodating every request during set up and flexible enough for late minute changes. At arrival, the "bag slinger" set the welcome stage. Super approachable! At sign up, the GM carried himself even more sincere. All this starts to set the stage for play on average conditions. Nope the course was to die for. Even thou it might have had a couple of spots that needed repair, they were not in the field of normal play. Most of all, the greens; butter, super receptive and rolled true like the Pope having a discussion with Christ himself. And last but not least, the restaurant: food was great, drinks were even better but neither measured up to the staff. Great Job all around! We will be back and I highly recommend others doing the same. June 14, 2019 Thank you "Duke"

Great place for brunch. Nice outdoor seating in good weather. Staff and service is great. I will be back to try lunch and dinner menu.

Course is not overly difficult. Wide fairways typically evenly green, but often quite firm if not hard, especially around the green. Bunkers typically like concrete. Greens are evenly green and smooth, if not a bit on the slow side. Some undulation. Can be walked except that the golf course does not provide pull carts. If walking, do inquire about water on the cart paths, as water can over wash holes 1, 2 and 4 making them virtually unwalkable. Course has gotten quite expensive over the past few years. Rack rate is now $80 in the high season. For that price, there are other courses which offer better value. Buying a Foothills Group Gold Card does lower rates quite a bit, however. Silver Spur Grill offers good food. Staff are friendly and attentive.
